MEET PGHFTA

The Pittsburgh Food Truck Association, or PGHFTA, is a consortium of the best street food vendors in Pittsburgh. They are a varied, carefully selected group of culinary experts who work in the greater Phoenix region.

We are committed to bringing Pittsburghers and our members together for unique food truck catering experiences because we firmly believe that food unites people. We also diligently strive to maintain Pittsburgh's famous street food culture through our advocacy work.

Above all, we are driven by the community and work tirelessly to maintain top-notch cuisine, protect street safety, and enhance the entire food truck experience.

Advocacy and Empowerment

The Pittsburgh Food Truck Association empowers local food truck businesses in two unique and important ways.

First, PGHFTA ensures that our vendors have access to a wide range of new business opportunities through event catering and other revenue streams. Because Ben Goldberg, a former food truck owner who witnessed firsthand how challenging it can be to rely solely on sporadic street sales, founded PGHFTA, our organization is set up to ensure that our vendors remain relevant and busy throughout the year through these catering opportunities, which in turn allow our members to grow their businesses.

Second, PGHFTA invests a significant amount of time and resources in lobbying the local and state governments on behalf of our members and the food truck industry at large. We keep ourselves informed about any prospective changes to policies, rules, or regulations that may have an immediate impact on our members. We can use our expertise to give local mobile companies a voice because PGHFTA is continuously keeping an eye on the sector.
